Having secured the French F4 Championship title in Race 2, Alex Munoz finished in style with his fifth win of the season. Thanks to his 2nd place finish ahead of Guillaume Bouzar, Arthur Dorison pipped Jules Roussel to the runner-up spot.
In terms of the number of participants, the level of driving, cost control, intensity, organisation and the rise of female drivers, who represented a quarter of the field, the 2025 edition of the highly international FIA-certified French Formula 4 Championship reached an even higher standard than in previous years. On the track, every practice session and every race proved to be exciting to watch.
To succeed Japan’s Taito Kato, Alex Munoz managed his season perfectly after a victorious start to the year. Unlucky at Le Mans, Roussel was unable to do anything about it and saw Arthur Dorison snatch 2nd place in the overall standings from him at the last minute. Eight different drivers managed to climb to the top step of the podium, including Guillaume Bouzar and Louis Iglesias, who finished strongly in 5th and 6th place in the FFSA Academy Championship behind the incisive Rayan Caretti.
Race 3: Alex Munoz holds off Arthur Dorison
The Academy field came alive from the first lap, which saw Jules Roussel retire following a collision while starting in 2nd position. Arthur Dorison initially lost the advantage of his pole position and Japan’s Rintaro Sato took the lead in front of the pits on the first lap ahead of Alex Munoz and Dorison. Louis Iglesias lost several places in this clash of the titans. Freed from pressure after clinching the title the day before, Munoz overtook Sato on the third lap, while Guillaume Bouzar began his comeback.
The safety car came onto the track for a few minutes, while Dutch driver Annabelle Brian retired after a collision. When the green flag came out, Rayan Caretti was getting faster and faster, setting the fastest lap and finding himself in 4th place a few laps later after overtaking Malo Bolliet, Monegasque Matteo Giaccardi and Rafaël Perard. At the same time, Sato had to give way to Bouzar.
Arthur Dorison, who has been in great form and very competitive in recent races, took the all-important point for the fastest lap and put pressure on the leader. But Munoz controlled his opponent until the end and finished his season as he had started it, with a victory. Bouzar completed the final podium of 2025, while Caretti moved up to 4th place after getting the better of Sato, who ultimately finished 22nd after receiving a penalty. Due to repeated track violations, Perard was also penalised and dropped several places. Behind Giaccardi in a solid 6th place, Roméo Leurs won his duel with Louis Iglesias, with both drivers managing to overtake Bolliet. Germany’s Montego Maassen came back to finish 9th and Hugo Herrouin took the last place in the top 10.
11th overall ahead of Pierre Devos, the best female driver of the season, Lisa Billard, took the top step of the podium in her category ahead of Angelina Proenca and Héloïse Goldberg.
